And she sat, and I sat,
we sat on the bench all night
in the park
it was dark
and cold
but we sat for as long as we could.
And she sang, and I sang
we sang in that park
for as long as we could.
and it was dark
and cold
and wet
but we didn't care,
for we sat
and we sang
all night
till the sun rose.
And I loved her, and she loved me
and we were perfect
all night
in the park
in the dark
while we sang
and we sat
in the cold,
dark
park.
the morning was warm,
as was her heart
no longer dark
but still in that park.
She sat alone,
in the light,
in the cold,
waiting, for the moment
when I return.
When it's cold
and dark
again.
