<3A Poem by Kavern Laurenitis
Take this heart, Dearest
For all to see. Let them know It was all from me. Careful, don't drop it! Nor squeeze it too hard, Lest you WANT me to mop it. This member is quite fragile you see, It's a vital organ; Nay, the most vital organ To me. Your touch makes it giggle, Your fingertips A most pleasant tickle. You're so warm, Don't let go. Let me bask in your warmth, Not in the cold of life's undertow. No, please, don't drop it now. It's metal is soft And I had just finished molding it down. Why did you break this heart, my love, After I had entrusted you with it? Four fifths score years it took To forge this relic with an ingot.. Why, my Mystress, Do you insist on halting This congress? The hands that built this contraption Aren't perfect, and it's my first. Imperfections are expected, You'd know if I coerced. I'm sorry, I'll rebuild it better. Don't go, I need help picking up these pieces And putting it back together. No? F**k.. Whispers of focus Beseech, "Heed my call; Remain discipled, And abstain company's brawl." © 2011 Kavern Laurenitis |
