Color

Blue is the color we seen in our veins,

Blue is the color the sky sometimes claims,

Blue is the color within “those blue eyes”,

Blue is the color that often survives.

 

Red is a color that shows when we bleed,

Red is the color of fiery heat,

Red is the color of roses we meet,

Red is the color that makes life complete.

 

Gold is the color that shows like the sun,

Gold is the color that shows you you’ve won,

Gold is the color that makes you fun,

Gold is the color that equals a ton.

 

Green is the color that you spy in the trees,

Green in the color that flaps on the leaves,

Green is the color of serene and free,

Green is the color that shall never leave.

 

White is the color that’s so hard to find,

White is the color that hides from the mind,

White is the color that seeks but one friend,

White is the color that sticks till the end.

 

Gray is the color that smoke forms off of,

Gray is the color of a gray feathered dove,

Gray is the color of caring, but cold,

Gray is the color that never gets old.

 

Black is the color of evil and dread,

Black is the color of beauty and dead,

Black is the color which carries bad deeds,

Black is the color of elegant greed.
