Sunny Sunday Days

Sunny Sunday Days

A Poem by Dotsoo
"

Friday's good, Saturday's awesome, but Sunday brings me dread.

Sunny Sunday Days

            Oh, the Sunny Sunday days,

Oh, the flowers gleam, but fray,

            Oh, the weekend’s gone away,

On chilled, but bright, oh, Sunday days.

Oh, the grass, it gleams and shines,

Oh, the wind sweeps through the pines,

Oh, I know, it’s all today,

My weekend’s gone, oh, gone away.

The birds they sing such hollow notes,

The toads they hum, but do not croak,

The bugs they chirp, but do not sing,

            Sunday’s are such upsetting.

But now the winter is to come,

            School-less days of snowy fun,

So, weekend, I don’t mourn for you,

There is another, in a week, so soon.

Does anyone agree? I love the fact that there are Sundays, but ugh. My weekend's over by Saturday night. . .
