The CrossroadsA Poem by DeeDee KaulitzLife's Journeys take us to places unknwon
Each day in life is a journey- Sometimes it is tough, Sometimes it is like the world and always turning. We have to overcome obstacles we are given, To go to points in which we are driven, It can be hard, sad, and never-ending. Then one comes to the crossroads of life- Is it the end? Or is it just a beginning? Down one road is the road less taken, It will leave you broken, Maybe a little shaken. At the end, there is a lesson learned- That you could have taken the easy road, All you needed to do was make a turn. Then there is the easy road- Full of deceit, greed, and sin, Those actions can be fun for a while, Nevertheless, they will eat away at you within. There is the road to take that everyone has traveled before- No surprises, just comfort, to some it could be a bore. There is the last road, the road to the past- That is the road we should leave, Because the good, the bad, never lasts, We’re all tested each day, We come to the crossroads and decide which way. I can’t suggest which road to take- It is up to you when you awake, However, love and thought will guide your way, Lead you through each and every day.
