Splendiferous Sunrise

Splendiferous Sunrise

A Poem by DorothyParker

Midas awakes
gold scatters in counted minutes.
Eyes blink,
heart throbs.
Warm is the face
taking all in.
My hand is still holding yours,
now and in between.
