Unaccustomed

Unaccustomed

A Poem by DorothyParker

Breve light lifted
midsummer spells

on crests of liquid hope
and solid doubts

clamoring straight thoughts
over the ocean's glow

frost bites anew
and unaccustomed.

You have a very straight forward form (that works extremely well) in the pieces that I've read, and the content is given in a pleasantly subtle way. This one is definitely no exception. Wonderful.
