~WEEPING WILLOW~BY:DORI L.M.

A Poem by Dori Maschke
"

I was sitting in my chair one night and I was watching the tree branches move by the light breeze and I thought "how would a willow tree look blow in the breeze,"and then i see that Weeping Willow tree before my eyes.

"

Weep Willow softly cries to the wind it's carried a way,

To the mountains and the hills until your cries are no more.

Weeping Willow why do you cry so is there something you need to say?

Your leaves are brightly green as they hang low to the ground.

Weeping Willow sing us your song of sadness from long ago,

No tears do you cry but you hang your head low and sigh.

Weeping Willow lift your head up high for your sadness is no more,

Weeping Willow you will forever grow.
