~MY SHINING STAR~

~MY SHINING STAR~

A Poem by Dori Maschke
"

This is just a poem that is some thing that came to my mind one might while watching TV.

"

I cry for you in my dreams wishing that you would come back to me again,

The tears come falling down and wakes me in the middle of the night.

Oh, how I long to hear you breathing so soft and low in your sleep,

I reach for you and you're not there.

Trying hard to forget your death and the pain you tried to hide,

So many years we were together and now I am alone without you how am I to live?

I can't seem to forget your laughter and the look in your eyes when you have something on your mind.

How I hate those tears it makes me seem so weak I know I will never be strong again,

You were my strength,my life and love you were my shining star above.

I like this poem. It reminds me of sorrow, and every poet here seems to only write of sadness, or else I am not fortunate enough for the right timing, to be able to read poetry that emulates what happiness we all want in our lives.
This poem only reminds me of the same nights I have. Thanks for reminding me.

=)
