Ethereum and tokens based on this network

Ethereum and tokens based on this network

A Story by Joel G. Decastro

The Ethereum blockchain was launched in 2015. It was thanks to him that a new page of opportunities was opened in the world of cryptocurrencies.
The native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network is called ether (ETH) - it belongs to the category of altcoins. Ethereum itself quickly became the second cryptocurrency in the world in terms of market capitalization. This was achieved, among other things, due to complete decentralization, open source code, as well as the unique goals of developers and blockchain features.a website where you can safely trade different cryptocurrencies.
The Ethereum blockchain has gone beyond just storing and transferring value: it was designed to act as a network upon which other platforms would be built. And since its source code is freely available, anyone can create a crypto token based on the Ethereum network. Moreover, each such created ERC20 token can operate in accordance with a unique set of rules.
This open source blockchain has become the basis for many new phenomena. For example, the now popular sphere of decentralized finance (DeFi), which creates the conditions for the operation of thousands of services and platforms, initially appeared just on the basis of Ethereum. The Ethereum network has also become the platform for most ERC-721 NFTs. This is another area that has appeared and continues to develop due to this blockchain.
In general, the world of Ethereum differs markedly from Bitcoin, which was originally created only to transfer and store value. In general, this blockchain changes the face of the modern crypto industry, creates conditions for new types of transactions between people, and also expands the possibilities for using cryptocurrencies on a global scale. And that's not all.
