Selfless

Selfless

A Poem by DookieSmiles
"

Mans desire to reassure his women/wife he is their.

"
ive seen loneliness.
last leaf on tree before storm.
ive seen helplessness.
caged like the moon above.

hold on my dear for posterity.
look into my eyes and i know.
never look back, in my heart to know.
trust in us, like stars verity.

ive seen happiness.
blissfully comes, the light that fills our dreams.
ive seen ignorance.
if i shall ever close my mind.

small things, i dream about her here by her side.
i will never forget even in my dreams.
im the lucky one because we are.
love carries me quietly, doing all that her heart desires.

Author's Note

DookieSmiles
Women sometimes have the feeling they are unwanted. Maybe because the man does not give them enough attention or say they love them enough. This poem is about a man saying and doing everything he can to reassure his women how deeply he loves her.

When I first read this, I didn't realize that it was a man saying/doing this to a woman, but at the end, I did. I really like how it all flows together. I also love your use of words. :)

Women feel unwanted pretty much 100 % of the time
Its the stuff we go through
Its alot to handle
self destruct button is always closer than the keys of the car

You do a good job of making her feel llike a million dollars :)
