Change

Change

A Poem by Harmony-Lee

My heart once open,
Now torn, tattered and frail.
Like ice to water.
I've changed.
My mind once sharp and trusting,
Now doubts, questions and fears.
Like wind to a tornado.
I've changed.
My body once strong and youthful,
Now weak, worn and slow.
Like a flower in a drought.
I've changed.
My aura once free and spirited,
Now reserved, hesitant and hidden.
Like a wild animal now caged.
I've changed.
My future, once positive and bright,
Now bleak, dark and coming to an end.
Like a fire to ash.
I will change.
