UNCLE GUS

UNCLE GUS

A Poem by Harmony-Lee
"

The day my dear Uncle passed.

"
I thought you'd out live us all,
Built like steel, our big German tank.
To hear the news today,
My heart ... it sank.

Today
We say goodbye.
Dear Uncle Gus,
To heaven you did fly.

Five years have past,
Since we last met.
Cherished phone calls, but so few visits,
That, I now regret.

Memories,
Now is all I hold.
The warmest smile,
A personality so big and so bold.

The tightest hugs,
That squeezed me so hard.
The biggest heart,
And honest, no facade.

A true gentleman,
To the end.
On a doves wing to heaven,
All my love, I do send.
