ConchesA Poem by Stu. T.H.Telephone-game.
"A conch for me, and a conch for you,
To the everlasting sea, I sing for you, On my end, I sing into my conch, So on your end, you'd hear my love, prolonged." - Leon, Donny Wells / Stu. T.H. (April 26, 2024) Local Trivia: It is said that whenever a fisherman's wife gets lonely and misses her husband, she'd sing into the conch at night, washing away her sorrows while expecting to hear her husband's voice on the other end, responding to her rememberance, and vice versa. It is often the fishermen that collect the conchs for their wives to use as tools of remembrance but as the tradition carries on, more and more young ladies begin to collect conches for romantic purposes as idealised in the poem. © 2024 Stu.
