I Hate Winter, by YurikoA Poem by Stu. T.H.A poem inspired by a topic chosen by a club member.
I hate winter,
Not because of its skeletal shrills, Nor its irritating habit to freeze up, But because of its lonely nature. I hate winter, Not because of its chilling fevers, Though they come knocking my doors often, It's rather because its never lets its heart open, That I always have to make guesses all over. I hate winter, Not because I am a social person, Though maybe it's because she isn't, That I never get the chance to talk with her. I hate winter, Because of her irritating stubbornness, Nor because her refusal to warm up to me, But because... I've fallen in love, with that lonely figure. I hate winter, Because I can, And until the end of time, I promise, to hate her too. - Yuriko, Leon / Stu. T.H. (March 11, 2024) © 2024 Stu. T.H.Author's Note
