Absent-minded on a beach

Absent-minded on a beach

A Poem by Stu. T.H.
"

Out of a whim.

"
Absent-minded, on a sunny day, I walk without shoes,
The sea rages slowly, tides turn, missing hues,
The wet trail you left behind has grown steep and dry,
Words followed, without shades, as the wind waved goodbye.

i like the abstract beauty of and in this one!
the contrast between your words in each line ~ pulling back and forth ~
my favorite is the last line:
"Words followed, without shades, as the wind waved goodbye."
{absolutely whimsical. wishing. wanting. hope.}
