That Everlasting SummerA Poem by Stu. T.H.My most passionate love... is forever--
Our story was just as an open book,
That Summer had passed without a second look, Now I reminisce in the sounds of wind, Calling for memory fragments, from that everlasting summer, so thin; Recalling, the train station we had stood by, Recalling, the turning leaves that flied, Recalling, the summer heat that had beaten us, Recalling, those days we youths causing fuss; In those younger days, the world was our oyster, We were unknowing, of the future we would foster, Summer memories, those, I am now reminiscing, Those invaluable moments, now are but feelings; I was then, a boy without many dreams, And life, was much easier than it seems, Lovers, friends, adventures, and endless time, Those, belong to memories, of another lifetime; Our youthful days, and you, are no more, Now I have to wake up, to my bedroom floor, With hot tears on my cheeks, I was trembling, For the first time in many years, I was crying; Now I know that no summer are everlasting, And what is left, at the end of time, are mere feelings. - Stu.
