School Night FestivalA Poem by Stu. T.H.A special work. Very special to me at the moment.
On this Winter night stranger than ever,
A recluses as I endures a frantic fever, For the first time since I was but a lad, For the first time ever, I've ceased from being mad, On this night, as I watch the crowd moves by, My emotions keep going lows and highs, I wish for the first time ever, For stalls to have their rightful customers, Who will seek their wares, And admire them with such care, I wish for the first time ever, For loners to indulge in this festive affair, Without the fears of social scares, And an escape from their haunting nightmares, I yearned, for the first time ever, To indulge myself in this social fever, Under this strange Winter night at my school festival, I dress myself up as myself, but much Less Formal. And ... I enjoyed it. For the first time ever. - Stu. T.H. (December 8, 2023) © 2023 Stu. T.H.Author's Note
