Recollection (6): Have I settled for mediocrity?A Poem by Stu. T.H.Have I settled for mediocrity?
Books are covered, and stories told,
But they still pile up, the mysteries unsolved, Yet I find in myself no passion to take lead, Nor an urge to venture, to explore those needs, What do I desire, when I have settled for commonality, The death of my youthful curiousity was riddled with much pity, These eyes can see miracles no more, Though at times, I can hear unworldly callings from ashore, Still, I am trapped here, lonely and unloved, Like a memory of the past, like a crystalized dove, I am, a piece of an unmoving picture, A forgotten statue without stature, No more tales shall indulge in weaving my essence, No more artists shall use my color nor paint my predicament, Unrest King, you are one annoying lad, If I was a mouse, you would become my cat, Chasing me until I am a dead rat, Worries piled up, leaving me a dead lad. - Stu.
