"Sonnet: A Darkly Reflection of Identity

For deepest yearnings, I am no Westerner,
Dress me up as one, and you'll see a peasant,
For rustic nature belongs to an Easterner,
If you are interested in cloddish tales, you might find me pleasant,

Dan Rastley, a befitting name for a Sinner, don't you think?
A Sinner that wrongs even those who haven't wronged me,
Anyone who had encountered me, would find my name raising an itch,
Thus explains their attitude against me so unkindly,

But I do not dwell in their gossips, despite my earthly nature,
I yearn for true beauty existing beyond the boring daily life,
Regardless of the prices I've paid, for naught, I am undeterred,
That bad habit of mine had gone out of control and got me many strives,

Even my once companions now have distanced themselves from me,
Tell me then, Silent Watchers from Above, Are You Still Interested in Me?

- Dan Rastley"

... How dramatic I am these days. And much more talkative thus.
My pen has been exhausted earlier than I have anticipated.
I wonder, if I get a new one... in time.
