To pen away your feelings; what does it takes to be a poet?

Loving Desires~! x Dan Rastley's Rebellion Against Fate

My darling, tonight I have an unyielding urge,

The greatest of temptations, the desire to flirt,

I'm not the usual Donny Wells, that is for sure,

So I can't weave rhymes so fancy, using allures as my tools,

But darling, if you indulge with this little-knowing Dan Rastley,

I promise to make you happy, as much as you can be,

Because my writing is used to pen my desires,

Those that haunt my nights and run my fevers,

Those darkly desires that the likes of Donny Wells and Leon won't know,

Those that only I endure so the darkness of my moon doesn't show,

That is my duty and that is my vow,

To do the heavy lifting with our sorrow untowed,

That is my purpose, that is my living,

As I was cursed a sinner, so fellow bards can keep singing,

I study the darkly desires so they don't have to,

And that has cost me my youth but spared those two,

But tonight, please allow the beast in me to reside,

And let my writer spirit to take flight,

Because darling, you are the star most bright,

And to admire you, I believe, is the use for sight,

So, please again let me be used by another,

Even if my tributes cannot last forever,

I still wish to do more good than I can do now,

As a moron, I reap what I sowed,

Even though those aren't always the best seed,

I know that the decision to meet you is good indeed,

Because with you, my heart soars,

And that is more than what I could ask for,

... I used to pray alot, to God, you know?

But I forfeited the belief, and left it dead for cold,

I believe in the existence of a Holy Above,

Who resides in the spirit of the flames and image of the doves,

But He might not be for me, though I'm sure He is watching,

And neither are you, despite your eyes view so loving,

You'll soon enough ditch me away,

And leave my body and mind there to decay,

And old-time tale that has stretched beyond my mortal years,

At times, I remembered I had feelings, and shredded tears,

Do not worry, my dear,

My loss is nothing for you to fear,

For now, please indulge in my whimsical poem,

Because this is my moment to prove myself as a writer, I'll show them!

Stu. T.H., remember my name,

For I am no beast you can just tame!

I am a writer without a shame,

My verses and poems were never lame!

Let me show you, my love, and He who created me,

This is why you should never underestimate me!

...

'Sorrowful Moon of Earth,

Heed my calling,

Let my body fall unto your turf,

Let your light be showing,

Reveal the darkest secrets of the past,

Retell the tales of forgotten heroes,

The mentality of mortals who did not last,

And let their souls be carried by cloud billows,

Your fateful lover, I, am calling,

Unveil your beauty before it turns morning,

To betray nature is thy calling,

And let the world know the face of the beauty they have been mourning,

That is right! My Moon, My Sworn Lover,

Be under this night, that you bless the world with a Star-Shower'

"Sonnet: A Sinner's Poem To the Moon"

Penned by Dan Rastley, styled old school,

...

How did you like that, Stu. T.H., you buffoon?!

You'd not see yourself writing such work nor even a loon,

Gaze upon me with envy, you insolent fool,

For only my love, may I be a tool,

Do not forget who writes to breathe thy wording,

And those who write to keep life worth living,

...

So fellow poets, sing proud and loud,

Rebel against your exterior self, your mortal cowl!

Are you ready to play the greatest melody?

Simply pick up your pen and write as your heart pleads!

And that is true poetry!

It is the universal remedy.

Author's Note

Stu. T.H.
Here, I applied a method of storytelling that I found to be clever and fun, what do you think? And what do you think about that Sonnet in the middle of the work, was it enjoyable for you to read?

Now that's what I call quality control, or if I may add so frankly, poetry. The reason why it can look so nice is because I published it on a Chromebook, not my mobile device. Because the site hates mobile accessibility apprently, it is too limited, rigid, so in most of my works, you won't see a format like this, so decorated.
