Sonnet: A Sapphic sailor

Sonnet: A Sapphic sailor

A Poem by Stu. T.H.
"

This is my way of getting drunk. Lovedrunk.

"
The fairest of maidens,
Queen of all gemstones,
I'd go through mayhem,
To reach where your light shone,

Though as I venture deeper,
I came to see your wicked nature,
But I was groped into this lustful desire,
And forcefully, became your admirer,

But over time, I began to see your other side,
Underneath that cold demeanour is a lady so kind,
Now my heart jumps every time you smile,
And ... I am so happy to say, that you are mine,

Darling remember, that you are my love, you are my light,
I'm pleased to be your lovergirl, and your sweetest delight.

Author's Note

Stu. T.H.
It's between getting drunk with alcohol or writing sapphic poems that can ease my wounds today. And I prefer the option that doesn't destroy my liver.
Penway styles used (in order): Donny Wells - Dan Rastley - Leon - Yuriko.

* If I may ask a favour from my dearest viewers and sapphic writers, then please can you guys use the tag "Sapphic" when you write Sapphic poems? It just makes it easier for me to navigate... Thank you for checking out my work, and hopefully, it cheered you up as it did me!
