Her auburn hair smells like pine,
In her wholesome gaze, my autumn lies,
Her beauty is as plentiful as a harvest,
I, her lover, am farmers’ most jealous.

I think of autumn in Vermont, the beautiful maples and that New England countryside.
And I think of a past love...the first thing to which I was attracted...her auburn hair.
