I'll Be There

I'll Be There

A Poem by Donald Foggitt

Ive stumbled into no mans land

Theres no one else but me

No one else can feel the pain

Or see the things I see

The trees that wave and dance outside

Express whats on my mind

No cool or calm collected thoughts

No peacefulness to find

Everything just falls apart

Like wood in a burning flame

No rules or structure no direction

In lifes little game

Then you enter from the wings

You take my breath away

You make things seem so clear again

I wish that you would stay

Instantly the sun does shine

And warms up on my face

You make the darkness disappear

You make my heartbeat race

Although you will never know

How I truly feel and care

I'll be wanting, watching, waiting

Forever, I'll be there
