A very sad poem written dear Donna. I do understand. I am the oldest person left and all my mentors/teachers are gone. I do miss their voices and their faces. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Thank you Coyote! I always appreciate your comments!
The memory of one who is special to us never really goes away, even though with time it may become a little less painful.
I lost a son at age 16 so very many years ago now, but the love and memory of him shall never leave me!! His loss, and that of so many other loved ones has encouraged me to write many poems of loss, I've even have done a grief journal, (Teardrops of the Heart) so I try to gift just a small bit of comfort to others who feel the pain of the death of a loved one!!
Please accept a hug from me with hope it brings you comfort!!!
Good morning Donna,
First read of yours and I found it so very sad.
Love can be such a hurtful thing...but then again ahhh so very wonderful.
Memories can be so painful... when it comes to love...
I recently posted a poem called Guardian of Memories that you might like...and many of my poems and Sonnets are about love...
