It's called COVID 19
There is no vaccine
The year is 2020
We are losing plenty
Not long ago we were free to roam
Now we have to stay home
People are crying
So many dying
How long will this last?
Or are we re-living the past.
Pandemics do happen at least once in a couple of centuries so in a way, we're reliving the past and yet with many differences. I certainly miss the freedom and this new world is still sinking in.
Like Julie (below), I also believe life has changed fundamentally & closeness will be a thing we reminisce about, years later. I believe there will be more viruses that are worse. After all, we've had a steady stream of them, always getting worse, so why wouldn't this trend continue? I kinda think humans need to be wiped out completely so the creatures can run this planet. All that aside, I love your simple straightforward way of expressing how it feels! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
I don’t think it will ever be the same as it was pre this dreadful deadly virus 🦠
It’s sad and tragic 🤥
All we can do expect when things return to normal is that the origin of it are held accountable and maybe pay and never make same error again
When i used to visit a friend or have lunch with a g f I always gave her a hug and /or kiss But I think people may after this virus May be less likely to be Exchange Germs not sure 🤔
And if we walk in the park or beach will will we still keep our distance like now and in the supermarkets will the large red spots to stand here be erased
I just don’t know if the free thinking carefree way will Ever return I certainly hope it Does
Enjoyed your thought provoking poem
quite appropriate
We are re-living the past and we will eventually do so again, only this time, as Walter Cronkite used to say, "You were there!"
I'll bet he's not too sorry he missed this one
