Jury DutyA Poem by DonnaJust a little it about my Jury Duty services.I was chosen to serve on Jury Duty. I have been told by many that It is my duty to serve. Well, I have a problem with that. I don't think that I or any other person has the right to decide if someone is guilty or not guilty. In this trial they don't have any evidence. It is one persons word against another. So whoever tells a more convincing story, or whoever is dressed nicer, or cries will be the way I decide? I don't think that is fair to either person. Let me just say that this trial is a very serious one. Day after day I sit for hours and listen to both sides, which are not easy to listen too. So, once again it comes down to who I believe. I don't want to send an innocent man to jail, and I don't want to let a guilty man go free. This is going to be very hard for me, but I have to do it even though I don't agree or like this. © 2019 DonnaAuthor's Note
