I Love California

The best State ever!

     California is the place to be,

there is so much to see.

     We have so much sunshine,

you will think your on cloud 9.

     Disneyland is grand,

you will think your in a dreamland.

     You will love the beach,

it's only at arms reach.

        Monterey Bay,

you will want to spend the day.

       You have to see

    San Francisco Pier,

    since you are near,

   and also Chinatown,

    since your around.

Hopefully you won't have

to experience an earthquake,

   it will make you shake!

Me too dear Donna. I lived in Monterey for three years in 1992-1994. I loved highway one. I visit last year and next year I will return. Big Sur is my dream. I want to write my book near her. A wonderful poem shared my friend.

I have visited all of those places! As a Californian, I can relate to this a lot haha. There really is no other place like the Golden State (if only you had included our grand capital!) nonetheless. I loved it!

I confess, I don't want to live anywhere else but California! Having lived in many of the areas you mention, your poem sounds very familiar to me, but I also wonder how it might seem to others who only know such locations as a vague idea of a place. ...make that "shake, rattle and roll"! I've only experienced two earthquakes since moving here, and they were both very minor. Most people really do love the climate year round, so I guess we're pretty lucky to call it home! A big wave from San Diego, Donna!

Have you ever been to a World Heritage list site in CA? Ohio does not have any yet!

Iv'e been to Monticello, the only house in the U.S on the list. Quite odd the White House is not!

Enjoying your poems
We have spent a lot of holiday time in Calif. and always enjoyed it.
I bought my current little hot rod just out of San Jose so, 'I know my way to San Jose', both there and back.
