End of story, unless you read again.. this time reading between the lines. Perhaps
Comes a time, perhaps, when there's nothing left. Whatever you do is wrong, whenever you question this or that, tis wrong. You build a wall around you, build it so high, only self can touch your Heart and mind.. Is how i read this tragedy. Love is there.. one has to believe it.. I hope one day, you will, dear heart. I felt this unlovable much of my life after being routinely raped by my biological father & older brother for years in my youth. It’s a long hard journey to embrace self-love after feeling this way. I am guessing this doesn’t apply to you, at least I hope it doesn’t. But I’ve read many poems on this website from youthful ones who seem to have a similarly devastated self-esteem. These are all the things I said silently as I kept my distance from anyone who tried to love me. You nailed it with clarity & intensity (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Wow, that's a whole lot of heartache in a short little space. Darkness and frustration and a sad bitterness permeate the lines and make this one sting a little. You definitely got the point across, nice work!
This little poem speaks to me about someone who is emotionally broken to the point where they aren't prepared to give of themselves at all, let alone receive from others. They will have to learn to love themselves before anyone else can get close to them. Sad, that's how I felt reading your lines.
