Learn & Grow

Learn & Grow

A Poem by Donna

This is to all the people that have done me wrong or hurt me in my life.
I believe that it was meant to be, to show me what I don't want in my life.
To the ones that broke my heart, you just made my heart stronger.
To the ones who hurt me, I healed and I am better than ever.
To the ones who lied to me, I learned to be careful who I trust.
All of the pain you caused me was for a reason. It was for me to learn & grow to be the person I am today.
So, I want to thank you for being in my life and teaching me what I needed to know.
The most important thing I have learned from you is that, I will never be like you!
THE END!

We live and we learn through our mistakes as well as others. Those who have treated you wrong in the past only proved that they would never be right for you in the future. Keep pushing forward and being the amazing woman that you are.

you're welcome.
It is said we learn from our mistakes; but I believe we learn MORE from the mistakes made against us from others! Rare emotional write - nicely shared! Bless ... :-)

I am a filipino sorry for the grammar mistakes.Yes don't be like them.If they hurt you even if it's hard to forgive try to love them in return maybe it will make them realize that love is still the best medicine to cure the heart in pain.It makes as stronger.

Yes, you are right! Thank you for reading my poem!
If we could see difficulties for the lessons they really are, we wouldn't try to avoid them and the we could put an end to the vicious circle sooner rather than later.Strong message, beautifully written.Well done!

yes those people who hurt you the most are the ones who make you stronger day by day because with each passing day filled with courage we are ready to face what the world may offer

While the construction of buildings I've seen that pillars are watered and got to know it makes the pillar strong for any season......In life some people come and splash betrayal on us......exactly like the building we become strongest which ever season arrives!!
There was a sigh of relief in your poem, I liked it😊

I really like the way you put that. Thank you!
Finally! The exact thoughts I'm thinking when I read poems that blame another person for one's heartache! Finally you put it into the perfect straightforward words that need to be said. I did my share of pining over the years, but finally we need to learn that every encounter is full of lessons, so we can just take the gift & run! I love this & wish this lesson could be absorbed by all those whining & blaming (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
