Stop Being Rude

People being rude on here!

I have been on here for a short time and I really enjoy all the comments and reviews. I also like reading others work, it helps me learn.
Everyone on here has been so nice and helpful and I appreciate it, but of course someone has to ruin it by being rude, and it is not right. I am not here to be put down. I hope this was just a one time thing and it won't happen again. I hope nobody else has experienced this. I just had to get this out. It really upset me today.

Just block them. Anyone who behaves in such a manner has no appreciation of the written word and is simply not worth the bother.

On the upside, I always welcome critique, it can be helpful and affirming, criticism on the other hand is generally the weapon of the the entirely untalented.

I remember the first few times I was trolled by the mean people that can sometimes do their dirty work here. It was upsetting becuz we have opened ourselves up & we're vulnerable as writers. After it happens a few times, then I got over reacting to it. I just delete the comment & block the jerk. There are too many awesome friends here to let these fools inhibit us. Sometimes excellent writers leave this website becuz of regular trolling. But I've found that my delete-and-block approach works to discourage & now nobody bothers me anymore (I've been here 2 years) Fondly, Margie

Good for you to speak out Donna. There's no need for rudeness or trying to put people down. Most people are nice, it's just one or two meanies. Have a nice day, lift your spirits and know that the vast majority don't act that way.

Sometimes people tend to get off or take pleasure out of downing someone else because apparently things aren't so well with themselves. It's sad but a reality. Sometimes we got to kill it all with kindness overlook that individual and never give them more power and ammunition at your convenience. shine bright and as always keep writing grow poet

Oh dear, please don't let the ignorance of a minority spoil the enjoyment and pleasure of sharing on WC. I agree with sette - use the 'block' tag on the site if someone is too annoying ... bless you :-)

thanks for sharing, i had experienced it here so i blocked the writer and i don't care whether his works are still there or not. we are here to enjoy, mingle and learn and we are not here to be insulted or mocked if they dont like our works then it is up to them not to read or write reviews. respect is something that needs to be remembered here and earned at the same time. stay strong, block this writer it serves him right don't let him upset you., not worth your time at all.

This Web site have quiet long history in abusive and rude comments. Funny things even when you report them they are still here. When somebody is rude , I always think about reason why. Yes my grammar is horrible themes of my poems are disturbing etc. But that's not reason calling down syndrome etc. Also may even some people are rude and they don't even know it. For example people with Asparegus syndrome they are not rude cause they want be rude , they are just brutal honest. I think people are rude cause they have some kind of disorders , they life is unhappy or they just want simple trolling around. I think best way when someone is rude just ignore them. Don't let be put down some stupid comments. I think is good you brought this subject here cause we have to think about it how we treat each other. Thanks for that .

I agree. Cause sometimes it's heard that criticism should be taken as guide but when someone criticises not to advise but to stuff down the writer that cannot be tolerated.
Again u stood brave to put a fact like fact!! Proud of you 😊
