Where Do We Go?

Where Do We Go?

A Poem by Donna

It scares me to think about dying.
Where do we go?
Is there life after death?
What about Heaven & Hell?

I need to know
Where do we go?
Can I see or hear?
Is anyone near?

It scares me so, cuz I don't know.
Will I see my loved ones
that have passed on?
Or are they just gone

Well, one day I will know.
I hope its a beautiful place I go.

Donna – read your similar poem and also the comment below it.

I just write about life and do not claim my works as poetry. Just a story.

Your comment below was interesting.,
I never really thought about myself in what I wrote, but for others I have known and lost.

I have had major operations in my life and when they put you out – you do not remember anything until you wake up.

I think death is like that. One just goes into the 'Big Sleep'.

It doesn't bother us that we were not alive back in the centuries, in fact as I wrote before, probably glad of it, so why should we all bother with the future after we die.

In which we all surely will.

I think I hold some belief in reincarnation but not as ourselves again but as the Indian's believe, a kind of life pool where all good souls clean the pool and come out regenerated.

I do not think the likes of Hitler would be included in here.

It is quite a scary thought isn't it? Yet an interesting one. If I had to speak about the ideas and beliefs, I would have lost my voice before lunchtime, and as there is evidence for every point, like there is for the existence of God, but there is enough evidence for each point which sends beliefs to further points, and really, we are unsure, altogether. All people on Earth don't think the same time, we have not confirmed a fact, but have gone with beliefs. It is a mystery. Where has your father gone? Heaven? Are we all forgiven? Hell? Is he not? Or is he just sitting the eternal darkness, waiting until the end of the world. Shall we hope that we are all forgiven, also including the worst people in history, such as Adolf Hitler, And Johnny Vegas (only joking). We should all find out when we get to the point of death, but that is far from where we are now. We shall find out whether we are a burning corpse in a blood-stained land, or people in white robes, above the clouds with glowing halos above our heads, or whether we all swim round in the neutral land of eternal purgatory. It is nice for you to write ideas like this down, it is quite a talked-about subject. As I am an atheist, I think that we are just in the purgatory, doing f**k all, sitting ducks in the smoky darkness. I'd like to know what YOU think.
