Roses Are Red My Love At waters edge today I am once again found It is here where I find my only solid ground In my life to those who have come and gone and those who chose to stay Many life's lessons I have been taught that remain with me to this day Loves that came and always went The reason for you I know was heaven sent Much I did learn moving beyond the pain That in every life there must be some rain I've learned to not know of pain How can one truly appreciate love If one is always looking down you will miss what comes from above I learned that love is forever it can never be undone Just put away for me to learn from The friends who have danced upon my heart and stand firmly planted today to never depart You taught me what forever really is for once called friend you can never be set free in my heart you will be to the end You answer each call of distress my joys you celebrate as if yours Me as your friend I have never felt to be a chore Oh the family which whom you can not choose Some I did win ... Some I did sadly lose God and my Dad were the brightest stars of all They were there to catch me each time I would fall Never a judgment on me did they pass Only love and understanding is what was cast My children and theirs as well I pray one day for them to see They are a light I draw upon and who is really me. So in my garden of life my roses are so very red The aroma the sweetest upon which I have daily fed My time is shorter than from my start Each and every one of you I hold dearly in my heart. So this day of love I do so celebrate to God Family and Friends this I do dedicate.
