A  Long  and  Lasting  Love Isn't Love supposed to be a hearts  pledge for an eternity A seed planted when nurtured and loved Grows strong beneath the light that shines from above. This seed within unknowingly planted in the many seasons past Lay dormant, still and protected by Him by only His loving hands this mold was cast It is asked so many times why did we wait so long Well all things are in His time Guess now is the time of our song Maybe we were not ready to sing and our dance not quite right Oh the years we danced the outer circle Never daring to take flight For years I have loved and called it friend Never daring to venture away from my land of pretend But you reached for my hand and I willing took yours Across the line we cautiously stepped opening unknown doors I can not mark the exact time over the past ten years It seems its such a gentle flow from friend to when love appears Our never shaken friendship... Undoubting trust Tears dried...
