Gone   Would you notice that I'm gone Would you even care Would it make a difference if I were not there Do you ever wonder how I am and if I'm doing ok Would it leave an empty place if I were gone today. Do I ever cross your heart on bended knee at night Is there ever a memory that you cling to very tight So much I don't understand and am so afraid to ask My memory so fails me as to my horrid task Would there ever be a day my presence you would want Oh how these questions linger upon my heart they tease and taunt To my pain you have no notion which is my debt to pay But I paid severely once when I allowed my heart it's say On bended knee I ask God's forgiveness of me Yours I will never have that I painfully see. This is heartbreaking for me to read my dear friend because I know when you write you speak your heart always. I can tell you very truthfully that if there were no you, there would be myself and my family grieving your loss. All the questions you have asked here, we would be replying yes to. Yes we would hold to memories, yes we would miss the person that is you. You have touched the heart of many and you are not told often enough just how much you mean to hearts around you. Certainly tough questions we can't help but ask after a break up... are we still remembered... it can really be a bit of a comfort to know we are. Another really powerful piece of poetry.
