Ya Gotta Stand For Something As an American Woman I stand tall and proud Protected by He who watches from the clouds What more is there in life but God Family/Friends and County If this you choose to forsake I promise you no bounty In this great land we still have our choice and until I go home I will use my voice Oh criticism I have been given on the things I speak about but speak I always will and that you should not doubt I have my precious Savior who walks with me every day Within in my life He lives and for yours I daily pray It leaves my heart bleeding as an open gaping sore When others find offensive my verbal knocking upon His door You can do your best to banish Him from all public display Know there is nothing you can do when it is to Him I choose to pray All the many offenses will not silence what I have to say No anger on this will you get for on bended knee I daily pray For my family and friends how I love them so. There is nothing I would not do and this I pray they always know They are always held deep within my heart In the deepest dark of night and with each days start. My Dad always taught me by the way he chose to live To stand up for what I believe and be true in what I give. God and County they try to part which strikes a mighty blow. For this Country's unity we have many miles to go For God Family/Friends and Country I will always take a stand It is the blending of each that make this land so grand. So criticize me as you see fit but my silence will not be your resolve I may be but one small voice but it is one that will evolve..
