A Brighter Day
No sunshine do I see
Clouds Clouds go away
Why must you rain upon my soul
at the beginning of this day
I force with in my mind
my thoughts to change
but the feelings in my heart
Oh how am I to rearrange
I examine the contents
of this heart of mine
My intentions of good
is what I seek to find
But how can this be
when pain is all I feel
there are no happy moments
for me to steal.
Life I have found
can be quite unkind
Yet some say Im not to feel
Just view it as blind
I fear they fail to see
what the poet's heart feels
so many more things
that they consider unreal
Out of fear they hide
never searching for the truth
they live their lives
with self honesty aloof
But that is ok
if that is what they choose
but the reality of life
Oh they only lose
Some hide behind
faith, denial and fears
As for me Id rather move on
after shedding my tears.
So clouds and rain
please go away
and bring to me
a brighter day

The search for inner peace is the hardest thing to find yet it is also the key to great happiness... a very beautiful and inspiring piece of writing.
