Twas The Night Before Christmas 2007

Twas The Night Before Christmas
2007

Twas the Night Before Christmas
And all through the House
Not a creature was sleeping
Not even a mouse

The excitement was in high gear
The little ones eyes would not close
I could see the night was going to be long
But if past repeats that's how it goes

The children are tucked in tight
In their respective beds
With hopes of sugar plums
Dance'n  in their heads

When what to my wonder
Suddenly appears
Nicholas is out of bed
And through the door he peers

Like a flash in the night
Dad is there in the door
Guiding him back to bed
I fear a long night is in store

I on the couch
Hoping to get a little rest
When Sydney appears
For her peeking test

Mom guides to her room
And they both get to into bed
But Mom is the only one
With sugarplums in her head

It is one in the morning
When what do I hear
'Nana its light
Santa must have been here'

No my precious granddaughter
That can not be right
What you are seeing
Is a neighbors porch light

Mom comes with a tired smile
And back to bed the little one goes
At 2am from Sydney's room
Mom finally comes out on tippy toes

We all finally settled down
With the Christmas scene all set
To grab a few Z,s
And a few is all we'd get

It was 4:30 am
When I heard the first call
'Santa's been here'
Come and see it all

They pounced into bed
With Mom and Dad
Hurry come see what Santa left
Said the bright eyed little girl and lad

With packages all opened and
Santa's gifts to enjoy
There was a mighty happy
Little girl and boy

This is a Christmas never to forget
But we could hear our beds call
We headed that way
With A Merry Christmas to all

Dedicated to Jack Tonya Nicholas and Sydney
Thank you for such awesome Christmas Memories

I Love You All

What a nice way to start my morning my dear friend. As I type through a few tears I was able to relieve again through your awesome words and pictures, the Christmas story we relive each year this beautiful season of love, comes again to us. As always you set the scene to touch the heart absolutely perfectly! Memories is something that can never be taken from us. This is beautiful my friend. KKL
