Waiting For Tomorrow So Let it Snow

A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost

Waiting For Tomorrow So Let it Snow

I awake to an awesome
white blanket covering the earth
It is the eve
of my precious Savior's birth.

All the baking and shopping
is done completely
The gifts under the tree
are stacked so neatly

Stockings are hung by the fireplace
with excited anticipation
Waiting for little gifts from Santa
for all the good children

The excitement
in the little ones eyes
the twinkling is as bright
as any star in the sky

The children's behavior
is at its best
too bad Santa does not
return in August

Santa has his sleigh
and little riendeer
so him not arriving on time
Well there is no fear

With everything done
and no where to go
Just waiting for tomorrow
so just let it snow...

Merry Christmas
