Sitting On The Moon ღ KKD ღ
A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost
Sitting On The Moon
I sit amoung
the twinkling stars
gazing down
to where you are
My heart is where
I can not be
so many miles
I wish to flee
In my mind
I see you there
in our home
we yearn to share
Each night I float
amoung the stars
instead of being
where you are
I wish I may
I wish I might
be in your arms
this lonely night
The joy and love
tasted by you and I
leaves me wishing
to your arms I could fly
The aloneness felt
each and every night
when all we need
is to be held tight
The physical me
held at bay
Away from you
for too many a day
My daily struggle
with in this lonely cocoon
Well... I might as well
be sitting on the moon
