Play Me

Play Me

A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost

Play Me

Your words of love
once danced upon my soul
Your happiness... Your life
the you and I my only goal

The joy and laughter
still ring with in my heart
I wish for what was
at our very start

What happened? What went wrong?
How could it have slipped away
this love that was to last
forever and a day

You will feel me burn
once again within your soul
This love we have
is the greatest story told

I will not easily let it go
nor cast it out to sea
I will never forget the love
that passionately played me.

Nice guitar LOL
Love lost is always hard on the heart
Sadly in today's world a lot of times one is deeply in love and the other one is just there
If both would be honest with each other it would save the heart ache
Sad but well penned Ray { Not a Poet }
