Looking Through My Window   As I stand looking through my window this Thanksgiving morn I realize it is this time of year that takes me to years gone by. I realize all the things I have to be thankful for... The love I have to offer whether accepted or not.   The joy of seeing life go on through my grandchildren The never ending hope of forgiveness given and received.   The reassuring hug of a friend whether near or far who is always, but a wish away. I remember the close family ties and the loved ones that would gather on this day that are now gone. Thankfulness was not spoken of for it was a way of life. It is standing here looking through my window that I see that so clearly now. These memories I hold dear with in my heart. It is there that they will go forever untouched. Its the things most taken for granted by the young that the elders hold so dear. It is often referred to as 'The good old days'. Today I pray for peace with in the world, with in our country and with in each of us.   I pray that on this special day of thankfulness that no one be forgotten or left alone. That they feel love and hope for a better tomorrow and that better tomorrow does come. I am forever thankful for our brave men and women of the military and that because of their dedication we will all sit in freedom and enjoy our families while their families will have that ever so obvious empty chair at the dinner table. Your sacrifices are appreciated and each of you will be included in my Thanksgiving Blessings. Mostly I am thankful for God's guidance His eternal love and forgiveness and the protection of His loving arms. For all things I thank Him These things are now so obvious as I stand here Looking Through My Window.   From my heart to yours I wish you a most joyous up coming holiday season.
