In front of her closet
she once again stands
she reaches to the back
and pulls it out with shaky hands
She gently lays it across the bed
as though a wished omen
gently pulling on the zipper
to once again open
With in the bag of white
her inner most dreams lay
and she always wonders
if it will ever come the day
Carefully from the bag
she removes this treasure
and dreams of all the missed
life shared pleasures
She adorns her body
with the pearls and white lace
and mentally lives a dream
she can only chase
Her Prince she prays
to give her reason
and finally come
with in her season
The many dreams unbirthed
as she would lovingly caress
the fear of never needing
flowers and a white dress
She returns it to its place
with dreams of many failures
Sending prayers for the need
of a White dress and flowers

"She returns it to its place with dreams of many failures "
Not failures, I call them bumps in the road, the road we all have to walk.
Some just seem to find a more scenic route.
I like this one.
Thanks Ray { Not a Poet and I know it }

Reflections Of My Heart
All the poems on my site
have come straight from the heart,
my heart.
Some are true life experiences,
some are fears, and some are
dreams for the future.. more..
