Shattered Dreams

Shattered Dreams

A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost

Shattered Dreams

 You don't remember

You dont remember the dreams
that now lie shattered at my feet.
The hopes for the future
in one single heap.

You don't remember
the good times shared
All those happy times when
I thought you really cared

You don't remember
all the laughter and fun
the times shared
as though we were one

You don't remember
that awesome all engulfing love
that was kissed by angels
and blessed from above

Because you don't remember
my heart no longer screams
from the loneliness
of those Shattered Dreams

Such a sad poem, still it was wonderfully written with great flow and imagery. I like how you separated it with the design and the picture is not only beautiful is perfect for the poem. Great work. ;)
