I Hate My Job

A short poem describing a few of the things I hated about my former job. ;-) I wrote this the day I was laid off, not knowing--of course--that I was going to be laid off at the end of the day. Ironic, huh?

Overworked, underpaid

Never enough and always delayed.

 

Just a few reasons why I hate my job.

 

Make up your mind, be more specific

All I ask is you be more consistant.

I think the irony has a twist all its own..to be laid of the day you wrote this ode as to why you disliked
your job.. overworked and underpaid.. seems to be the american way nowadays..this as well struck me

as a humorous variation of a limerick..the whimsicality of struture..just a few reasons why most people
hate their job as well.. perhaps being laid off was a sunconsious prayer being answered. in any regards

the idea is capturing and its well described in the moment...a piece most can relate to..nice job.

This is great. I love a good vent poem!
I hated my job so much I quit and darn if the economy sucks now and there are no good jobs to be found.
Hopefully, we will be okay...as long as my husband doesn't hate his job. LOL
