Anyone who cares for a poet will understand this one.

Take Another Breath!

I am living an adventure

It has lasted for some time.

Although it is exciting

This is your dream, never mine.

.

And so my love, as you do know

I patiently must wait.

Come down for your next breath.

For me, is it too late?!

.

Your stories are so varied

Of the life you have lead.

Just rest here beside me

On our very lovely bed.

.

My hands caress your muscled back

Feel that vulnerable child within.

Wish I had an eraser

Take away some things, have been.

.

Your poetry is beautiful

In wee dark hours you wake and yawn.

It comes upon you quickly as

Thoughts form to Prose by dawn.

.

Your mind is the adventure

It never seems to rest.

Every time you turn around

One more challenge you must test.

.

I want your love my darling

And you certainly need mine.

You are the most exciting thing

To happen in some time!

.

So stay with me my dearest

Regenerate those empty cells,

And lose yourself in loving me

So we can renew ourselves.

.

Tomorrow is a new day

With great new things to do,

You loving me tonight

Will bless me as well as you.

.

When he comes I wait for him,

The whole world is why he goes,

Why else would he leave me?

Only Heaven really knows!
