SequesteredA Poem by Donna LorenzUnderstanding a poetSequestered
If you were closer near by me I could better understand The poets mind sequestered as it is With you first hand.
When I read your words I’m tortured With the memories you see And I think why can’t our love erase That painful memory.
Then I hear your voice and know That all is well with you. No memories were haunting but Different thoughts did brew.
So here I am still under a cloud Not understanding much. The one thing that I do know is Our friendship we must trust.
So let us please continue To rely on one another And pray that good things happen To those who depend upon each other.
