Sequestered

Sequestered

A Poem by Donna Lorenz
"

Understanding a poet

"

Sequestered

If you were closer near by me

I could better understand

The poets mind sequestered as it is

With you first hand.

When I read your words I’m tortured

With the memories you see

And I think why can’t our love erase

That painful memory.

Then I hear your voice and know

That all is well with you.

No memories were haunting but

Different thoughts did brew.

So here I am still under a cloud

Not understanding much.

The one thing that I do know is

Our friendship we must trust.

So let us please continue

To rely on one another

And pray that good things happen

To those who depend upon each other.

Amen to your poem, and amen to your "Author's Note" .... I liked this poem very much... "And pray that good things happen to those who depend upon each other"
GOOD STUFF.

Poet's are a breath of fresh air and to some so
misunderstood, yet we admired their writings
that come with courage and inspirational thoughts.
A beautiful ponder indeed...
