At This Point In TimeA Poem by Donna LorenzWhile waiting for Cataract surgeryThis Point In Time . . I don’t know why I love it But have enjoyed it oh so much Just to be here by myself To enjoy the things I trust. . I am very careful driving To the store or whereabouts, Like a big ole ‘going to get yea’ Is what I fear, no doubt! . The world is a bright and friendly place But my cataracts make it seem dim. Be glad when the surgeon takes them off, Then my world will expand again. . I hear tales of the beautiful colors Will show the world a bright new place Can’t wait to see the difference Will it show upon my face?
