I Want You

I Want You

A Poem by Sean Allen
"

...and I shall have you

"

I want you

You are all that I desire,
without you I will surely die…
Yet you treated me like a slave.

I came to you just to help you,
and you wanted to control me.
So now, I’m coming to destroy you.

I’ll pursue you ‘till my dying day,

I’ve killed, I’ve disfigured…

Don’t think you’ll ever get away.

You can feel my warm breath

and hear me roar, I can be wild,

so you can never control me.

You can kill me and you will fail
for I’ll come back in another place,
to track you down again.

For I was not born from a seed

like you and all your kin.

Yet you posses all that I need.

Without you and your kin

I would not be able to exist,
though I am spawned every day.

You see, I must live eternally,

but you will someday be dead,

even if I do not track you down.

Yes as I feed on you to stay alive,

you and all your kin will go.

When you’re all gone, then I’ll die.

Our father sent me from afar

To be your helper, it is true…

Yet, ‘tis you I’ll consume and char.

I really like this. i see it as something a smart killer would say. he'd stalk his prey for forever until he finally has it in his grasp. like the saying goes. they can run but they cant hide. this poem is powerful and it was really well-written. great job.

The sweet sound of revenge. You did such a great job from beginning to the end, "I want you...And I shall have you"! This is so tempting, great job.

This tapestry of words are woven skillyfully with vengence. It drips from the ink onto the floor making the reader slip and tumble backwards. There is a force of power in the letters, one that makes a person feel like they can't run and if they try.... they know they will die, for the energy here speaks that the back is just as good as the front.

I like the diversity in your writing. This was a wonderfully dark thematic work of poetry.
Great ink!

The greatest compliment i can give you is that this inspires me.
And to be truly honest it is very hopeful, yet dark and resentful. In the poem you have the desire to kill, yet understand without it you have no purpose: "Yes as I feed on you to stay alive, you and all your kin will go.When you're all gone, then I'll die." It is very truthful.

This is a completely different tone than I've read from you before.
You write anger and wrath very well. It was so full of emotion
that it had me holding my breath as I read it. I think this was another A+
for you Sean. Great job!

Hi Sean,

I've been noting the various forms your poems take. Very eclectic indeed.
My aim is to learn from you. This form is one I could adopt to break into
poetry writing. The content suits this form. It's powerful. She done you
wrong, and will pay.
