A Bright Morning Sun
Can you remember
that day in September? When falls coming chill had sent air that was still. And the world horrified, just stood there and cried. Can you remember that day in September? When pictures were posted, on walls that were hosted. As lovers stood helpless to imagine what caused this. Can you remember that day in September? When strangers were heroes and bodies lay in rows. “Daddy won’t come tonight… kids, it just isn’t right.” Can you remember that day in September? When ideals that were foreign attacked what we held sovereign. And our spirits united as one, under a bright morning sun. © 2009 Sean AllenFeatured Review
